Games for iPod touch and iPad

Alan Barthelmess

For all of those out there who own and iPod or iPad you probably know what it is like trying to choose which apps out of the thousands to download. Of course apple has provided a few things to help at the app store, such as a list of the top paid apps, a list of top grossing apps among a few other helpful things. You can get a pretty good guess about the app by reading comments left from people, and a look at some of the images but nothings for sure. So I have a few games/apps that I highly recommend for downloads.

My overall favorite app is called “Gamebox” this app costs one dollar and when I purchased this app it currently had 24 games. It is about a year later and had many updates so now it has 35 games, all for a buck. Many of these games I have spent a good amount of time on such as AC 130, where you play as a gunner in the AC 130 aircraft. Dino Cap, where you play as a little kid with a lot of firepower against hordes of dinosaurs. This app has tons of games, puzzle games, trench games, jumping games, crane games, Defense games, shooter games. It is pretty clear that this app is worth way more than the cost.
Angry Birds is a hilarious app that also costs a buck and has given me a few hours of enjoyment. The game is you throw birds via slingshot at pigs in formations. The goal is to eliminate all the pigs with only the birds they give you. That being said each bird has a different ability, some can burst into triplets, some gain speed as they go, some just flat out explode. The game is easy enough that anyone can pick it up and play but it gets to some levels where you can honestly try twenty different times and not even realize how long it has taken you to beat the level.
Appzilla is a utilities app that is also a dollar but last time I checked it came with about 89 apps inside it. Some of these apps keep in mind only work with an iPhone and some I think are just useless. Yet there are a bunch that are fairly handy like a dice rolling app, a coin flipping app, several calculators, apps using google, a leveler, and it goes on. For 89 apps there is bound to be a couple you would like to have on you for random issues that come up. The fact it only costs a dollar, which just makes it that much better.
