Lady Diggers Soar Over Blue Hawks

Jason Silvernale
The Lady Orediggers hit the floor Sunday afternoon to meet the Dickinson State Blue Hawks, their second opponent of a weekend of non-conference basketball. Once again, Montana Tech rallied in the second half and overcame the aggressive Blue Hawk club with a final score of 65-61.

Meghan Eisenmann and Brooke Pokorny had big nights on offense, scoring 17 and 16 points, respectively, to pace the Montana Tech squad. Eisenmann chipped in four three point goals with an 80% accuracy level behind the arc. Tabitha Tomlinson was an outstanding eight for ten from the charity stripe to pace the team to a 75% free throw campaign.
Senior Taesha Higbee pulled down nine rebounds while Erika Jenkins tallied three blocks on the night.
The Lady Orediggers are currently 3-1, with their only loss coming from Eastern Oregon and will be back on the HPER Floor early in December after almost a month of play on the road.
