New to Xbox Live Arcade

For all the Xbox arcade lovers out there, I’ve got some good news for you. Much like the Summer of Arcade titles released over the duration of a month, Xbox Live is releasing another five arcade titles. It looks like there will be a new title each week starting last week. Most of these titles will cost 1200 Microsoft points which comes out to about fifteen bucks. If the games are anything like the Summer of Arcade titles, they are worth a lot more than what we’ll pay.

It looks like the five games, in order, should be Hard Corps Uprising, Bejeweled Blitz Live, Beyond Good and Evil, Torchlight, and the one I’m personally looking forward to the most, Full House Poker. To start off the mix, Hard Corps Uprising is a co-op side scroller shooter, much like metal slug. Bejeweled Blitz Live pretty much explains itself; it’s the classic Bejeweled game with a few new tricks and a versus mode online. Beyond Good and Evil is an action adventure game where you play as a young reporter named Jade, and investigate a terrible government conspiracy. Also, you have a pig for a friend named Pey’j. Of course any RPG fan is going to love the next title called Torchlight, an action role playing game made from the creators of Diablo and Fate. You get to choose from three characters: the destroyer, the alchemist, and the vanquisher. You must save the town of Torchlight from the world of Ember by venturing into caves, dungeons and pretty much anything that tons of monsters like to live in. The last and most anticipated of all, Full House Poker. You play Texas Hold ‘Em against your friends and many players worldwide with your avatar.

The games look like they are going to be a lot of fun, and the best is being saved for last.
