Those of us in college know that money is always tight and luxuries aren’t cheap. For all the gamers out there do not despair. I have a few games out there that are quite affordable and well worth more than what you will pay for them.
If you are the proud owner of an Xbox 360 then many cheaper games are constantly advertised in your direction every time you turn on your Xbox. A PS3 also has the same advertising capabilities, if you own a Nintendo Wii then you must add the Wii shop channel or news channel that shows new games that are available on the Wii. Small side note though the Wii has a limited hardrive so only so many games can be downloaded and stored. So for the Xbox users out there we recently had a lineup of five games that created Xbox Lives summer of arcade. Each one of the titles is a splendid hit with a few that soar above the rest. My personal favorite of the five is Monday Night Combat, a third person shooter in arena combat with customizable classes and hilarity to follow. If any of you are racing fans but looking to get off the standard track I specially recommend another summer arcade title. This game is a remake of an old speed boat racing game, Hydro Thunder is the title. This game is easy to pick up and addictively fun to play, a truly great online racing experience where every track has secret passages with hidden power ups that will accelerate you across the competition.
Those of you on the PS3 fan train have many cheaper titles to choose from as well. Some of the PS3 exclusive titles that have amazing replay value, War hawk is one of the PS3’s release titles where you pilot jets and tanks. For those of you that enjoy first person shooters you may enjoy unreal tournament three. It’s a fantasy shooter with many vehicles such as tanks, walkers, hoover boards and even balls of fury.
The Nintendo Wii has all of its classics available for download. Mega man, being a personal favorite of mine to play. There is another downloads that are up for consideration would be bubble pop. Bubble Pop is a simple game where you pop as many bubbles as you can within a certain time limit. Using the Wii’s mote controllers can make a simple bubble game a fast track competitive game between friends local or online.
