Every semester there is a time when many students must dress up professionally, touch up their resumes, practice the basic interview questions, and then head out to the career fair. Each year the career fair presents a new opportunity for students to pursue an internship and get a little experience in their future field. Last week we experienced our third career fair during the spring semester. Each year the spring semester career fair seems to improve upon itself little by little and creates more opportunities for students to obtain work experience.
This career fair we just had last week seemed to be a great success for students and recruiters alike. There were many businesses there this year, such as Baker Hughes, Inc., a longtime friend of Montana Tech who is always searching for the best and brightest graduate students to offer them a challenging career. Enterprise Rent-A-Car has been at every career fair I have attended; they are a very well known and respected business. Generally, they tend to be looking for Business majors and offer great management level positions and training for a management level position.
Those are just a couple of the businesses that attend each semester. There are so many more that attend these career fairs; I encourage all students to attend and stop by every career fair.
