Potholes: nobody likes them, and Butte has an overabundance. This is the worst year for them that I've seen in my four years at Tech. Usually there are one or two really bad ones to worry about, and a few roads to avoid. This year though, it feels like every road is a no driving zone, especially in my little tiny car.

Music Review: MUSHROOMHEAD Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children
I've been listening to Mushroomhead for about 7 or 8 years now. Since the start of the band in the early 90's, they've released 7 studio albums. Of those, Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children is the latest. The name of the album is derived from a comic book of the same name from the 80's.

Things I Wish I Would Have Known as a Freshman

Being a senior at Tech and being so close to finishing out my fourth and final year here, I've started to get a bit nostalgic for times past. I've also started to think about times past and what I would have done differently if I could go back and start over. One thing that I wish I would have known is how crazy or dedicated you have to be to get an engineering degree in 4 years. I would definitely go on a 5 or 6 year track if I could go back. I'd take a few more electives also, maybe learn a foreign language. I'd definitely get a minor at the very least, maybe even double or triple major and milk school for 8 or 9 years. It'd be really nice to be able to do school for a while longer. Even when I think about how ready I am to be through with classes and actually making , instead of spending, money, I still can't help but mourn the fact that I will likely never again be able to live the college lifestyle.

Quitting: The Smokers View

As a smoker, there is a constant assault of people attempting to tell you how bad what you are doing is for you, or telling you that you can't smoke in a place because it's bad for their health. I can understand people not wanting smoking indoors. Even I feel that smoking indoors is inconsiderate to the people within the building. What I can't understand is people's penchant to feel that they have the right to try and keep me from smoking if I choose.
